uvccamera

Implementation of the uvccamera plugin for the Aurora OS.

Contents

Installation and build

Add the plugin depending on the target application in the pubspec.yaml file:

dependencies:
  uvccamera: ^0.0.13
  uvccamera_aurora:
    git:
      url: https://hub.mos.ru/auroraos/flutter/flutter-community-plugins/uvccamera_aurora

And update the dependencies:

flutter-aurora pub get

Detailed description

The plugin implements the basic methods of uvccamera 0.0.13.

Restrictions

This implementation has some limitations:

  • isSupported() - always returns true The command is suitable for checking the device zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS
  • The implementation inside uses the pixel format Aurora::StreamCamera::PixelFormat::YCbCrFlexible therefore, we return the value UvcCameraFrameFormat.yuyv to the plugin for compatibility;
  • For the startVideoRecording(UvcCameraMode videoRecordingMode) method various formats are not supported, the video format that the camera was launched with is used.

Compatibility

The plugin works with Flutter 3.32.7. The plugin has been working correctly since the 5.2.0 version of the Aurora OS.

To run on older versions, you need:

  • Custom version of Aurora OS with flags for USB devices and version of the streamcamera library not lower than 1.6.5
  • Custom version of PSDK with updated streamcamera library

Limitations for versions < 5.2:

  • Uvccamera does not immediately appear in the list of devices after launching the application, it is necessary to reconnect the camera after launching the application.

Custom firmware of the Aurora OS

To obtain such firmware, you need to contact the WMD.

Customization of the PSDK for the build:

  • Connect to the PSDK If alias is configured:
aurora_psdk

If not configured:

<psdk_dir>/AuroraPlatformSDK-5.1.3.85/sdks/aurora_psdk/mer-sdk-chroot

where: <psdk_dir> is the address of the directory for installing the PSDK

  • Get a list of targets:
sdk-assistant list
  • Select the target for the patch and go into it: for example, use the target for armv7hl
sb2 -t AuroraOS-5.1.3.85-base-armv7hl -R
  • Install the package with streamcamera in the target
rpm -Uhv ./streamcamera.rpm
