Code Scanner

Description

The Code Scanner example is intended to familiarize developers with the use of the mobile_scanner plugin and shows how to integrate it into an application for scanning linear and two-dimensional barcodes. The application for example allows simultaneous scanning of:

  • Barcodes.
  • QR code.

The scanned barcodes are saved in a list and are available on a separate page. When you open the application, the saved data is loaded. If the code is a link, you can click on it.

Permissions

Dependencies must be written in the .spec file to build the package:

BuildRequires: pkgconfig(runtime-manager-qt5)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(flutter-embedder)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(gstreamer-1.0)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(glesv2)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(streamcamera)
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(gstreamer-app-1.0)

After the build, when installing the package, explicitly removing these dependencies is required for the validator to skip the plug-in libraries:

%global __provides_exclude_from ^%{_datadir}/%{name}/lib/.*$
%global __requires_exclude ^lib(ZXing|jpeg|yuv|dconf|flutter-embedder|maliit-glib|.+_platform_plugin|gstreamer-1.0)\\.so.*$

The application needs to have permissions on UserDirs, Videos and Camera in order to run. These permissions are set in the .desktop file.

[X-Application]
Permissions=UserDirs;Videos;Camera
